“Spaced-out melodies reverberate with blissed-out summer heat in the scorching

“Santa Fe”, and hazy vocals provide a potent escape from the day-to-day toll.”The Line of Best Fit
“Sante Fe catches the sunbaked glow of the Southwest and lets it emanate through the track, unfurling a little more arid haze with each note.”KEXP

“breathy, blissed-out vocals that recall Spacemen 3 and a strutting guitar riff suggestive of The Velvet Underground, though the song is laced with a sun-drunk aesthetic more in line with classic California psych-pop”Under the Radar

“a prime slice of smoke ringed garage pop that feels like the last song that should play before you shuffle off home, harboring the kind of buzz that will stick with you the whole train ride home and sack you out peacefully once you reach it.”Raven Sings the Blues

Punk Slime Recordings are proud to present the latest addition to their ever-growing roster – Beach Skulls with their infectious debut album Slow Grind arriving on April 29. Formed in Liverpool and now also based in Manchester and Glasgow it’s some of the best garage pop we’ve heard in years, catchy songwriting, laid-back melodies. All the summer hits you could want.

Beach Skulls originally got started in 2011 as the solo project of frontman Ry Vieira and soon Jordan Finney joined up – with the line-up being completed after a trip to Berlin when Dan West took on bass duties. Over the past few years Beach Skulls have released a variety of 7” singles, tapes and online-only EPs while playing around the UK – and last year the band headed into Parr Street Studios in Liverpool to record their full-length debut Slow Grind over four days, with support from the Merseyside Arts Foundation.
