Bear’s Den / Announce details of their brand new EP, ‘Without/Within’
Bear’s Den will release their brand new EP ‘Without/Within‘ on 28th October in the UK and Europe, via Communion Records.
‘Without/Within’ comes from a band who have progressed sonically over the past few months, yet amongst the walls of vocal harmonies and rich instrumentation, the driving force behind ‘Without/Within’ remains the heartfelt lyrics which typified their ‘Agape’ EP from earlier this year. 2013 has unfolded into a year of non-stop touring for the London based trio, and their music has grown into the venues they’re now playing. ‘Without/Within’ demonstrates a natural step in maturity from their year spent on the road.
Opening track, ‘Sahara’ (which is available to stream above), swells from gentle, sparse vocals into an expansive chorus that sets the tone for the EP as a whole. Live favourites, ‘Don’t Let The Sun Steal You Away’ and ‘The Writing On The Wall’ showcase the band’s articulate lyrics and powerful, rousing melodies. The EP is completed by the beautiful ‘Sophie’ and the dramatic ‘My Lair’.

Following a sold out UK tour in February, this summer saw Bear’s Den playing a whole host of festivals including Mumford & Sons’ Summer Stampede at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in front of a 60, 000 strong, sold out crowd. The band are now in the US on the Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover Tour and will support Daughter on their US tour later this month, before then venturing across the globe to Australia to support Matt Corby, in October.
Bear’s Den will return to the UK and Europe for a headline tour in November, with their London and Brighton shows already sold out due to huge early demand.
