Limited Edition White 7″ Vinyl With Digital EP
Bernard + Edith are an experimental 1 + 1 = 2 girl boy duo hailing from Manchester’s Whalley Range. Intriguingly distinctive on the ear and the eye; Greta ‘Edith’ Caroll and synth addict Nick ‘Bernard’ Delap create brooding, dark soundscapes laced with beautiful, sultry vocals. Their sound cannot be pigeon holed; creating wonky, mind bending, electronic dream pop music.

Following the video for the title track off their forthcoming Poppy EP released March 31st on Manchester underground label SWAY, Bernard + Edith now share the second instalment from the release with ‘Eyes On You‘, a yearning ballad of overcast electronics somewhere between London Grammar’s melodic confessionals and Grimes’ alien soundscapes.
Since forming in 2012, B + E have built a cult following within Manchester’s alternative underground scene. Watertight live sets, a truly unique sound and the pairs beautiful mystique have seen them play Manchester’s Independent Venue Week, Manchester International Festival as well as supporting the likes of I Break Horses, Jungle, Jessy Lanza and M O N E Y.
It comes as no surprise that the duo are releasing their debut ‘Poppy’ EP through Salford / Manchester’s notorious SWAYS Records, also home to the likes of Naked (On Drugs) G R E A T W A V E S, M O N E Y and Kult Country. The latest outgoing from the label is another excellent addition to what is proving to be one of the biggest exporters of underground talent in the North of the UK.
