Bete Noire – D Level Dirt (Out September 1st)

Bete Noire return after their joyous single ‘Shut Your Mouth’ with this delicious slice of menacing indie pop.

Drum beats and Guitar riffs fly out like machine gun bursts while frontman David Hargreaves venomously snarls ‘won’t you go down on me’ and more tellingly ‘I bet your daddy likes you’

Bete Noire translates as black beast and musically they deliver 100% on that dark premise.
Menacing, seductive and dangerous in equal parts ‘D Level Dirt’ is like a naked wrestling match between Interpol and Elastica.
Utterly thrilling, intelligent and erotic, as the guitars, drums and bass pummel you into submission you’re left completely satisfied by that sleazy vocal delivery.
A truly astonishing single and one that marks the London five piece as ones to watch out for. 9/10
