Betty Black wants to add a little pink and green neon to your holiday season” -BlackBook
Betty‘s bound for the big time…her voice oozes soul while jazz, and punk play beautifully in the back ground.” VibeVixen
“For all lovers of ominously sexy rock ’n’ roll, resistance is futile.” Ebony

Just in time for the holidays, Betty Black is gifting a download of her version of The Ramone’s classic “I Wanna Be Sedated”.  The opulent tranquilized cover was recorded as a part of her Blue Lounge project and features horns, strings, vibraphone, and upright bass. She will be taking over NYC’s Happy Ending every Wednesday in January with the project, which puts a lounge/exotica spin on rock and post-punk classics along with originals, for Betty Black’s Happy Blue Lounge. Full live dates below! Stream and download the cover where it premiered on Afropunk and here.
Betty Black will release her awaited album Valley Low, in February via KID Recordings/ Frau Pink Productions.  The album includes the singles “Come Back Lover”, “Heartless”, and “Valley Low”. The musical chameleon invites you into her world where garage, psychedelic rock, ‘60’s pop exotica, and gritty electro-pop beckon you down the rabbit hole.
Earlier this month, she shared the video for the title-track from her EP, Addicted to Life. “Addicted to Life” is a dark, multi-sensory seduction across layers of delayed vocals, sweltering synths and thunderous industrial drums. Watch the transfixing video where it premiered on BlackBook and here.
