Big Top Heartbreak – Christmas In The Asylum (Two Bob)

Big Top Heartbreak – Christmas In The Asylum (Two Bob)

Another off-kilter seasonal offering reality bites like a broken ‘Fairy Tale Of New York’ in single ‘Christmas In The Asylum’ due 16th December complete with a natty but dark kitsch Xmas video. But a nod towards my ex, as she would be disappointed there’s no Matt Dillon or that much roguery, however dysfunction always intrigues in varying degrees, the new single no exception.

‘Christmas In The Asylum’ is the new single from the debut album ‘Deadbeat Ballads’ that was released the end of October. The lead man and songwriter Scott Lavene writes songs with heart, sometimes heavy but always brutally honest and always intensely passionate.  Originally from Essex, now based in Bristol after years of moving around and searching for an unobtainable elixir he put down roots and started writing songs again after a number of years missing from the music scene.

Now back and brimming with fire and fabulous tales, this is a band on this form for a good while, another alternative slice of Christmas, you can almost hear a yuletide compilation already forming, one highlight for sure would be ‘Christmas In The Asylum’. Good to celebrate with Big Top Heartache, 7.8/10
