Darkly cinematic, the video for ‘FUN’ offers a surreal, horror-themed twist on the ride-or-die relationship at the heart of the track. ‘FUN’ again sees Biig Piig exploring a new subculture of sounds and stories, with a curiosity – and biting honesty – that’s still essentially Biig Piig’s own.
Biig Piig is one of modern pop’s genuine one-offs, and a young woman who has come of age across a period of experimentation and self-evaluation. From breakout track ‘Vice City’ – which dropped when she was just a teenager – to a trilogy of DIY EPs, Biig Piig has moved between genres and stories with songs that speak effortlessly of youth culture. Along the way, Biig Piig has earned a vast global audience for her instantly-identifiable sound: with over 200 million streams, sold-out tours, and co-signs ranging from Billie Eilish and Virgil Abloh to Lil Nas X and Clairo. ‘FUN’ follows Biig Piig’s much-loved singles ‘Feels Right’ and the breakneck ‘Switch’ – it also signals someone who has taken the time to work out who she is, what she wants, but as ever leaves you questioning where she might go next…
An understated but undeniable star, watch out for much more to come from Biig Piig this year.
