Black Grape – ‘In The Name Of The Father’ (Radioactive)

and arrives just in time for summer with it;s sunshine sing-a-long chorus and infectious sitar.  ‘In The Name Of The Father’ (Radioactive) is a fantastic choice of single taken from the ultrasonic debut LP ‘Great When You’re Straight Yeah…’. The B-sides here include one new song, ‘Land Of The Karma Sutra Babes’ which is typical lazy sweet ‘n’ sour Ryder drawl. Two remix versions of ‘In The Name…’, first the choppers mix is crammed full of ragga vocals, the second is an instrumental which will prove popular with DJ’s everywhere, especially at the summer festivals. 8.4/10
