“Swaggering, snarling, and spitting its way through its many sleezy refrains and storming breakdowns, “Salt Liquor” a distaste you can revel in. ” The Line of Best Fit
“While remaining nameless and wearing black masks, these two dudes could pass for supporting characters in a Tarantino movie. Their sound rides a similar garage blues vibe that Jack White has been cultivating for years now, and the songs kill.”Pitchfork
“They sound like Bob Dylan covering Coachwhips and will unquestionably make you soil your pants.”Noisey
“A frenzied assault of dirty drums, scuzzy sharp guitars, scratchy vocals and tons of attitude.”Louder Than War
“Thundering out of the gates with roiling fuzzy guitars, raunchy harmonica, unrelenting drums, and primal howls, the track would be perfect for one of those montages in a Scorcese movie when all the shit goes down.”Overblown
“A dirty rocknroll track that is the perfect soundtrack for a wild roadtrip”Fuzzy Sun

About Black Mekon
PNKSLM Recordings are proud to announce the return of lo-fi garage punk legends Black Mekon. Their new LP One In The Hate will see worldwide release on August 25th.
The masked duo (Black Mekon, and his brother Black Mekon) have spent the last few years playing across America, Europe and Japan, both headlining or being personally asked along by the likes of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Guitar Wolf, King Brothers and more.
One In The Hate – the long awaited follow up to 2013’s Stolen Bible 2 (the very first LP ever released on PNKSLM) keeps the same raw energy heard on the previous album -and the huge catalogue they self-released through their 7″ single consortium in between albums – but with a slightly more clarity than before, although they probably won’t admit that themselves.

One In The Hate:
1. Janey Was A Klepto
2. Frank Died Hanging From An Electric Fence
3. Natural Disaster
4. Roman Wonder
5. Salt Liquor
6. Hold On To Your Hate
7. Rats Out
8. I Just Really Wanna Be Your Man
9. Undecided
10. Fresh Hell
11. CryOwooo
12. No Prom
