Vancouver’s Blessed recently released I via Kingfisher Bluez (Canada) and Cointoss Records (US) with acclaim coming from Consequence of Sound, Stereogum, The FADER and beyond. The band’s unique blend of art-rock and post-punk has earned the band comparisons to visionary bands The Fall, Television, Liars, and Deerhoof, and beyond, but Blessed’s sound isn’t afraid to shift directions at any moment, twisting ideas and vision with unparalleled ability. Today the band are sharing their video for “Endure” together with Clrvynt, the EP’s stunning finale. Blessed said, “the video idea spawned from trying to conceptualize how humans need small pleasures and luxuries to find motivation in the minutia of life. We wanted to follow someone who despite social setbacks, had a positive endurance to keep interacting with the world, through whatever habit or routine they do in solitude.”
Clrvynt shared “The four-piece recently put out II, a four-song EP filled with the strange and wondrous kind of music they’ve been creating since their inception. Today, they’ve released a new video for closer “Endure,” a song that packs more twists and turns into four and a half minutes than most bands can churn out in a whole album. Guitars rubber-band and snap back and forth, flourishes coming out of nowhere.”
Blessed played a whopping 91 shows throughout Canada and the US (which would have been 111 if not for visa troubles that derailed an East Coast tour) in support of their debut EP and they’re back on the road again. The type of band to play wherever the road may lead them, Blessed continue to amaze audiences one show at a time.

“a fidgety post-punk jamboree with chord strums that cut like sharp-edged corners and mimic the sound of angrily joggling a locked or jammed door.” – Stereogum
“an extended, punky jam, clocking in at just over seven minutes, and making each feel fresh and exciting. The first half of the track is dominated by the high-fructose riffing pioneered by Deerhoof, giving way to a darker, propulsive jam that’s just as chaotic, yet well-controlled.” – The FADER
These songs breathe, they evolve, oscillating between furious, off-kilter instrumentals and infectious choruses that crop up outside of any traditional song structure.” – Consequence of Sound
