BOB WAYNE – UK & Eire tour to promote ‘Hits The Hits’ album – STARTS TOMORROW!

After six albums of original music by the colourful Outlaw Country singer Bob Wayne, the summer of 2015 saw him offer his take on some of the world’s biggest hits….with no genre boundaries.

Although Johnny Cash’s highly successful acoustic ‘American Recordings’ series of  releases planted the seed for recording an album of covers, Bob chose to employ a full band for ‘Hits The Hits’, while his song choices ran the gamut from stone-cold classic rock cuts such as ‘Sympathy For The Devil’, ‘Rock And Roll’, ‘I Shot The Sheriff’ and ‘Sweet Child O’Mine’, right up to recent pop hits such as ‘Crazy’, ‘Disturbia’, ‘Skyfall’ and an outstanding take on ‘All About That Bass’.

A video for ‘All About That Bass’ can be seen here :

Recorded in Nashville in early 2015, ‘Hits The Hits’ put a Country/Roots spin on 13 songs in all while not omitting the Bob Wayne edge that his legion of fans have become accustomed to. UK media reaction was enthusiastic :

“Could be taken as a stroke of utter genius or total madness, but it’s safe to say that this

should gain him some notoriety!”  VIVE LE ROCK

“Brilliantly executed and can’t help but put a smile on your face. The ‘good time’ album

of 2015. Marvellous fun.”  GET READY TO ROCK

“You need to check out the frankly brilliant interpretations produced here. True Grit from

another Wayne.”  UK ROCK N ROLL

“In spite of what feels like all the cards being firmly stacked against it, I absolutely bloody

love ’Hits The Hits.”  UBER ROCK

“Replacing the backing vocalists with a train whistle imitation at the end of ’Sympathy For

The Devil’ is nothing short of genius.”  COUNTRY MUSIC PEOPLE

“This is, in your reviewer’s humble opinion, a great album.”  MOSHVILLE TIMES
