Leeds psych trio The Boxing add some light to their traditionally gloomy, brooding psych on new single ‘Tame’

Leeds psych trio The Boxing release ‘Tame’, the follow up to acclaimed single ‘One By One’.
Traditionally conjurers of dark tones and brooding soundscapes The Boxing embrace the kaleidoscopic potential of their psychedelic flourishes with latest release ‘Tame’. As lead-singer and guitarist Harrison
Warke elaborates: ‘Most of our songs are written in a darkroom without windows, but a hint of light managed to creep into this one. There’s a bit of sweet among the usual sour.’
Completing the line-up are drummer Charlie Webb and bassist Henry Chatham, generating a invigoratingly expansive sound for a band of just three people.
Drawing comparisons to the likes of W.H. Lung, Eagulls or The Vryll society, The Boxing are a fine addition to the burgeoning current nouveau psych scene and Leeds’ blossoming alt. rock renaissance.
‘Tame’ was produced by Alex Greaves at The Nave studios in Leeds.
