Brian Nasty releases new single ‘Cereal Killer’ from upcoming mixtape ‘Pyjama Party’

20-year-old London-based DIY rapper and producer Brian Nasty releases his new single ‘Cereal Killer’ from his upcoming mixtape ‘Pyjama Party’ out 8th May. Part of London’s underground network of young talent such as AMA, Osquello, and Theodor Black, Brian’s material is impeccably produced, pulling inspiration from unexpected places with a raw, honest quality. His past tracks ‘Thinking About My Lover’ and ‘No Games Boy’ were independently released and caught the attention of FADER.

The single ‘Cereal Killer’ is about “when a relationship goes horribly wrong and it’s either you’re gonna kill yourself or kill the other person.” It’s an effortless demonstration of how Brian wears his heart on his sleeve. The melancholy in the instrumental is paired with a childhood nostalgia that gives the track a heart-wrenching edge.

Covering issues such as mental health and loneliness, Brian is a voice for the young generation: “you realize you’re not gonna let someone else’s toxic behaviour change you or the way you are and so, you mean to kill the sadness that follows.” Constantly surrounded by his creative friends, he includes snippets of conversation between him and his mates, opening up his entire life to listeners. Sitting on a multitude of material all recorded and produced in his bedroom in Tottenham, it’s clear that ‘Cereal Killer’ is a tiny fragment of the musical world Brian has built around him. ‘Cereal Killer’ is out on all online platforms, followed by his mixtape ‘Pyjama Party’ out 8th May released via [PIAS] Recordings.
