“…probably the coolest band in the world at the moment, a truly legit modern hardcore/punk band, and by far my favorite. It’s beyond exciting to try and help them in any and all ways we can and we’re honored to put their deliriously great new record [Jaded & Faded] out on Cult Records.” – Julian Casablancas
(APRIL 30, 2014 – Toronto, ON) – Brooklyn’s CEREBRAL BALLZY have announced the summer release of their highly anticipated sophomore studio album Jaded & Faded. Produced by David Sitek (TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beady Eye) and mixed by David Kahne, the melodic, power pop punk album is set to drop June 17on Dine Alone Records in Canada, alongside Cult Records in the U.S. (Julian Casablancas’ of The Strokes’ label). The ferocious punk outfit will also make their national television debut May 5 on Last Call With Carson Daly.
Jaded & Faded is available for pre-order HERE and fans who place advance orders of the album will receive an automatic download of tracks “Lonely As America” and “Better in Leather.” Today, Zane Lowe premiered “Lonely As America” on BBC Radio 1, alongside Rolling Stone, who premiered the track stateside. Listen to the infectious single below
Led by incredibly charismatic frontman Honor Titus and bassist Melvin Honore, CEREBRAL BALLZY were born and raised in New York’s “asshole” and instead of crying about it, they scream their way through a sprawling mess of 80s-hardcore and punk rock, that sounds like the Beastie Boys doing drunk-covers of Bad Brains. Recently dubbed “New York’s next great band” by UK music-bible NME, where Honor recently graced the cover alongside Casablancas, the band will perform at the Mod Club during Canadian Music Week on May 10 with OFF!. See below for all upcoming tour dates.
” They turn DC-style sonic assaults into brutal party anthems…New York’s next great band…” – NME
