Cable35 are back! The Maltese rock trio follow up their album ‘Louder’ with a new EP/mini album ‘Fungus’ in April and the lads have made the lead track ‘Rental Sunshine’ available as a free download via their website www.cable35.co
‘Fungus’ I can assure you is a hard rock blast, but here on ‘Rental Sunshine’ they show a softer more mellowed side to their usual grunge rock outings.

Rhythmic this may be but ‘Rental Sunshine’ retains their hard rock edge and comes complete with Jeff’s trademark howl.

Taught bass and pounding drums buoy along on scorching guitar riffs, this is what Nirvana wrestling with the Pixies would have probably sounded like.

A great introduction to the new material 8.5/10
