LONDON LIVE DATE – HEAVEN, WC2
SUNDAY 19THOF MAY 2013
House Of Un-American Activities’ present a special ‘Slaves to the Rhythm” event at London’s Heaven Club, with live sets from Carter-Tutti, Mika Vainio and Excepter.
The event is headlined by Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti performance as CARTER-TUTTI (plays Chris & Cosey). This will be the eponymous duo’s first London performance since they played their sold out show at the self styled “Cosey Club” night @ the ICA in Feb 2011 (which was at the time C&C’s UK first show in over a decade !).Their set (which has already become a favorite at leading euro-tech clubs) will focus on their post Throbbing Gristle 1980’s techno noir Chris & Cosey material and includes their influential 1983 indie hit‘October (Love Song)’.
Special guest is electronic brutalist minimalist Mika Vainio; ex of Finnish ‘tronic power duo Pansonic. Mika plays a new set from his forthcoming solo album ‘Kilo’ due out in late April on blastfirstpetite. This performance builds on his well received sold out show at Dalston’s Café Oto earlier in the year.
All (Un-) American shape-shifters, and Wire magazine cover stars Excepter return to the capital for their second ever visit. This time around the tree wielding cosmic jokers inaugurate our pleasure domes by dropping their improv beat box / synth pulse space sounds from their new, as yet untitled album.
All sounds power-projected through Heaven’s legendary floor shaking sound system.
Tickets @ £15 + booking fee & are available from 9am on 11th February 2013
