Cassette Store Day Coming Back For 5th Year

FULLERTON, CA – Cassette Store Day USA has announced that applications are open for stores and releases. Launched in 2015, CSD USA is a celebration of the cassette format with an emphasis on indie releases. Happening Saturday, October 12 in independent stores across North America, Cassette Store Day USA is currently accepting participation applications from stores and labels/artists on its website, www.cassettestoredayusa.com.

Burger Records, a label often credited with bringing back the tape format, started the US version of Cassette Store Day after being the only US label to participate in CSD UK 2013. The Cassette Store Day USA release lineup for 2019 will be announced on October 12, and will include releases from That Dog, Blank Tapes, and Dr. Dog. Previous CSD USA releases have included titles by Green Day, Thor, Death from Above, Renton Wood, and Groovie Ghoulies.
