Merseyside icons and Britpop legends Cast are thrilled to announce their live return to Liverpool for a trio of Christmas shows, playing their seminal first three albums All Change, Mother Nature Calls, and Magic Hour in full, beginning on Thursday 19 December 2019.
Cast originally formed in 1992, made up of members from much lauded bands The La’s and Shack, going on to release four albums. The first, All Change, became the biggest selling debut album of all time for Polydor Records and was followed by the platinum-selling Mother Nature Calls. Their next release, Magic Hour, was the band’s third Top 10 album. Following the release of fourth album Beetroot, Cast split with frontman John Power going on to release three solo albums.
The band’s original line-up reunited in 2012 to mark their 20th anniversary, releasing Troubled Times, their first album in a decade. Last year they released a compilation Singles 2005 – 2017 which included 10 Top 20 singles. The band create anthemic, melodic and beautifully written songs for which they have always been loved by their fervent fanbase. Singles such as ‘Finetime’, ‘Alright’, ‘Sandstorm’ and ‘Walkaway’ are just some of the classic tracks people can hear alongside some rarely played album tracks.
