cg8 Share New Single ‘cursed angel’
Today, New York City four-piece cg8 (aka c*mgirl8) share their new single ‘cursed angel,’ the third offering from their forthcoming EP phantasea pharm, out on 18 August. ‘cursed angel’ is a whimsical dance with insanity, with repeating hook, “I feel like I’m losing my mind.” Speaking on the song, the band say, “’cursed angel’ is about feeling like you’re slipping out of reality; it’s uncontrollable and sometimes you can’t contain it. if you don’t fight it, the outcome can be positive.”
‘cursed angel’ follows the hypnotic and erotic ‘gothgirl1’, co-written with Nick Launay (Kate Bush, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Slits), and the energetic ‘cicciolina,’ a tribute to the Hungarian-Italian pornstar turned politician of the same name.

phantasea pharm follows last year’s standalone single ‘dumb bitch’ and EP’s c*mgirl8 (2020) and RIPc*mgirl8 (2021), and arrives in the midst of their headlining EU/UK tour and festival run that has seen them play Primavera, The Great Escape, London Calling, and more. cg8 will return to the UK later this Summer joining the line-up for Green Man and Core Festival after having opened for Le Tigre in North America.
