CHAMPS aka brothers Michael and David Champion hail from the musical hinterland that is Isle of Wight, armed with an acclaimed debut album and accompanying superlatives, CHAMPS are pleased to announce news of a brand new single ‘Desire’.
Following the release of ‘Down Like Gold’ the brothers have wasted little time in getting to grips with the job in hand having intermittently decamped to London to record its successor – the plan was always to release two albums over twelve month period.
The first fruits of their endeavours arrive with the love-lorn beauty of ‘Desire’, the wistful entrance giving way to a sweeping musical panorama of love and rejection. The track sees CHAMPS veer away from the pared back feel of their debut and ‘Desire’ is an enthralling introduction to the next chapter and their forthcoming album ‘VAMALA’ in February 2015.
Recorded in the exotic environs of North West London under the guidance of producer Dimitri Tikovai and mixed at Assault & Battery by Catherine Marks, ‘Desire’ is released through Play It Again Sam and available digitally through all discerning musical outlets.
