CHICAGO’S OWLS ANNOUNCE FIRST EVER UK TOUR

OWLSFirst UK Tour Begins Sunday 14th September 2014
Selected praise for “Two”:
“THE KINSELLAS ARE ACKNOWLEDGED AS A DAUNTING INFLUENCE ON JUST ABOUT ANY BAND THAT CALLS THEMSELVES EMO.” – PITCHFORK
“A CEREBRAL THRILL” -UNCUT
“OWLS ARE A GENUINE FORCE FOR GOOD” – THE SKINNY

Midwestern indie-rock legends (or, as Mojo calls them recently, “Cult Chicago post-hardcore oddballs”) Owls surprised everyone when, after a 13 year abscense, they returned at the end of last year with new material and a plan for a second album. That record, “Two”, was critically acclaimed and released in March via long-time Kinsella family collaborators, Polyvinyl Records.

A genuine underground phenomenon, their debut album influenced countless bands within math-rock and more leftfield indie circles, and the release of “Two”, alongside the ever growing awareness of the band members’ other projects – Joan Of Arc, American Football and Owen amongst them – has seen real demand for the group to play these shores.

Today the band announce the news that they will be touring the UK for the first ever time in September.

Owls will be playing live at the following venues:
