City Mouse are about to go on tour in Europe for the very first time, with The Murderburgers.

The Murderburgers will be out on the road in support of their recent EP, Shitty People & Toothache EP (Brassneck Records).

However, both bands have jointly recorded a split 7” featuring two of the best tracks to date from both bands including a Teenage Bottlerocket cover and some guest vocals from Stacey Dee of Bad Cop/Bad Cop. Miski Dee Rodriguez fronts the Riverside, California pop-punk trio City Mouse who left corporate America 15 years ago to follow her true love: Music. She said leaving her mundane job with a building materials sales company in southern California for a full-time go with City Mouse was a no-brainer.
The songs are all well crafted, melodic with sharp, insightful lyrics that veer from self-affirmation (Exercise) to spitting anger about a former boyfriend to a surprising song about a recently deceased pet dog.
The album, produced by Mass Giorgini (Screeching Weasel, Alkaline Trio, Rise Against), delivers on an emotional level that pushes and pulls at your heart with every note and word. Whether empowering or heartbreaking, each song is crafted and played with an honesty and passion that commands attention and draws you in deeply.
“My only regret was not starting this path when I was like 15,” said Rodriguez via Skype from her Michigan home. “I wish I’d never gone to school so long, I wish I’d never had these corporate jobs for so long. Music keeps me sane and happy, and helps with every aspect of my life.”
