City Reign – Disappear (Car Boot Records)

City Reign their most recent single Disappear on November 17th tipped debut album Another Step. These Manchester based lads are definitely not something I would usually listen to but I have to say I’m intrigued by there alternative

and off track sound.

A band that scream alternative in their sound without looking like a bunch of hipster idiots who have just been kicked through Top Man then beaten through H and M, a band that seem to be more about the music rather than the image.

Disappear is an alt guitar track that has the ability to track listeners of all guitar based music. In no way offensive to listen to nor reinventive ‘Disappear has a lovely feel and vibe throughout with a chorus that is not anthemic yet has the ability to stay at the front of your mind and pour from the tip of your tongue.

It’s not my usual bag but as all readers know I love listening to something I haven’t heard before. Hats off to City Reign and lets hope these guys go far. 7.8/10
