NYC punk rock legend CJ Ramone and Osaka, Japan’s pop punk darlings Shonen Knife are teaming up for a co-headline tour of the US east coast and midwest during the month of June for an East meets West pairing of infectious guitar rock.
CJ Ramone, bassist (and sometimes vocalist) for the Ramones from 1989 until their disbanding in 1996, will be taking the stage performing solo material as well as Ramones favorites in support of his latest release “Last Chance to Dance” on SF’s Fat Wreck Records.
Shonen Knife will be making their second trip to North America in support of their latest release “Overdrive” on Good Charamel Records. Shonen Knife has toured the world extensively on this album including travels through the US, Canada, Europe, The UK, Australia, New Zealand and China, performing for eager fans at every stop along the way.
These 2 influential bands have shared the stage many times as guests at each other’s performances, but this unique pairing will prove to be a very special opportunity for fans of guitar driven hooks to see both of these legendary acts sharing the stage, performing full sets with support.
