Strange Feeling

New Single + EU Tour from Canadian indie rockers

“Intricate guitar pop framed by Local Natives-like harmonies and Bombay Bicycle Club briskness.” –  Q Magazine

Simply good at what they do: Straight forward catchiness, finely tuned and delivered cleanly” Consequence of Sound

Saskatoon natives, Close Talker, are back with their much-anticipated new single and with a full set of European tour dates.

Since receiving an incredible response from their debut album Flux over on these shores back in 2014, the band have found themselves described as a mixture of Bombay Bicycle Club and Local Natives. Although 2015 saw Close Talker lose their original bassist, and in doing so reduce the band to a 3-piece, this has done nothing to hamper the bands hunger or creativity.

Some of Close Talker’s accomplishments (in only a short period of time) include nominations for; Sirius XM’s Emerging Artist Of The Year, Western Canadian Music Award’s Video Of the Year, Independent Album Of The Year and Radio Starmaker’s Rock Recording Of The Year- just to name a few!

Close Talker’s new single, Strange Feeling, is an indie-rock piece driven by the distinctive vocals resembling The Klaxons. The up-tempo melodies combined with dreamy falsetto-vocal delivery are a prime example of why the band has had sonic comparisons to huge names, which include The Wombats. Close Talkers’ mature and interesting song writing has been praised multiple times and this track highlights this, similar to that of Foals.

If you haven’t seen them yet, make sure you get along to a show (dates below). The 3-piece will also be making 3 appearances at the Sofar Sounds in London this May. Should be worth a watch…
