Minneapolis post-folk rockers Communist Daughter are giving their lead single “Roll a Stone” the visual treatment – and it’s now streaming exclusively via Vevo and What Youth. The graceful-meets-grunge track is set to a gorgeously shot motorcycle adventure. Exquisite visual production perfectly pairs with the unexpected, emotionally charged reverberating acoustics.
Explains frontman Johnny Solomon, “Summer in Minneapolis and Saint Paul is a brief thing. But everyone makes the most out of it, all the bonfires and motorcycles and beaches and such. Everyone is out in the sun as much as we can before the cold comes rolling back in and we’recovered in snow again. The song ‘Roll a Stone’ is about something that’s already cursed before it has even started. Maybe that’s a little bit like all of us here.”

Communist Daughter is returning to the music world after a long hiatus due to frontman Johnny Solomon’s battles with mental health and addiction. With Johnny living cleanly, the band re-establishes themselves with an equally polished and balanced sound with their new material.
October 21st will see the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album The Cracks That Built The Wall as well as a string of tour dates through the Midwest supporting the album – see below:
