NINE INCH NAILS
confirmed for Mad Cool 2018
Nine Inch Nails, the biggest Industrial Rock band of all time, will be bringing their full arsenal to Mad Cool 2018 for the festival’s third year. Founded in Cleveland (Ohio) in 1988, they are responsible for spreading this style to a massive audience. Proof of this are the more than 20 million albums sold around the world.
Merely describing them as a “band” is not quite accurate though. Since their beginning, Trent Reznor (singer, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist) is the only constant member, and responsible for the musical leadership of the band. Reznor’s talent for writing melodic songs which are structured on hard electronic rhythms and metal riffs, has turned Nine Inch Nails into one of the most influential bands of recent years. Symbolic albums such as The Downward Spiral (1994), The Fragile (1999), With Teeth (2005), and Hesitation Marks (2013) are essential for understanding the evolution of alternative music over the last three decades.
Reznor has also established a thrilling – and oscar winning – collaborative relationship with director David Fincher, composing the soundtracks to The Social Network (2010), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), and Gone Girl (2014) alongside band member Atticus Ross.
Nine Inch Nails’ latest output is an ongoing EP trilogy so far composed of Not The Actual Events (2016) and Add Violence (2017), with the final piece of the triptych yet to be released.
The entire band will be making their way to Madrid next July to shake up Mad Cool’s 2018’s audience with another tremendous live performance.
