Cumbrian Punks Colt 45 Confirmed To Support The Computers & Add Further Shows
COLT 45 CONFIRMED TO SUPPORT TO THE COMPUTERS & ANNOUNCE FURTHER UK DATES
It’s been hard for COLT 45 to kick the touring bug since 2014’s debut THE TIDE IS TURNING (KKKK – Kerrang!, 7/10 – Big Cheese, 6/10 – Rock Sound), which catalysed a mammoth year of shows – including their first performance at Download Festival. “Busy times for COLT 45! We’re looking forward to all the touring we have coming up. We love The Computers so it’s an honour to be joining them for a few dates – we’ve become good friends over the years so it’ll be nice to share a stage again. Our December tour with Bear Arms will be a blast too – they’re another one of our favourite bands to tour with and a fantastic live outfit with some really massive songs, the kind that get stuck in your head for days afterwards! Then we’re heading South with our new pals Midday Committee, we’ll be playing our first shows in places like Bristol, Plymouth and Brighton, so that’s always pretty exciting getting to new places and hopefully reaching some new fans. We’re also working hard on brand new music – we’ll be playing some new songs live on the road, and we’ll announce more details of our release plans for 2016 very soon! That’s an COLT 45 are a testament to the phrase “substance over style”. Merging heartfelt, small-town frustration with melodic punk anthems and contagious hooks, the trio have worked their way up by gigging relentlessly. They have become pioneers for the modest Cumbrian rock scene, having recently toured Germany for the first time and gathering an impressive set of notches on the touring and festival posts. With their upcoming live run and material in the works for 2016, it seems the tide has really turned for COLT 45.
