Rising indie-pop star CXLOE
Unveils stunning stripped down version of new track ‘Tough Love’
“A stirring, heartbreaking number” – The Revue
Rising Sydney based pop chanteuse CXLOE delivers a hauntingly powerful stripped down version of her recent chart hit ‘Tough Love’ out this October through Young & Vicious.
Wandering between an ethereal mix of pop, electronic and elements of RnB, CXLOE brings an eclectic mix of qualities to her sound. Her debut track ‘Tough Love’ spent 3 weeks at #1 on Spotify’s Viral Hits Chart and heavy rotation on Australia’s biggest radio station Triple J.
CXLOE details the track: “”Tough Love was written from a place of angst and frustration. I’ve had this song boiling in me for a while, I have felt that my kindness gets mistaken for weakness; often leading to being underestimated and misjudged. So in essence encouraging that when it gets tough, get tougher. The stripped version of this song uncovers the vulnerability behind the lyrics; transforming all angst into hurt. I wanted to reveal a different side to not only me but the meaning behind the lyrics. As an artist that is the most exciting part; getting to show the many sides of our complicated hearts and brains.”
Coming from a background of music and arts, she is no stranger to the spotlight. Having developed her musical career from a young age amongst some of Australia’s most coveted songwriters and performers, and now working with a bevy of people including Pip Norman, LANKS, MOZA, Kota Banks, Joshua ‘Igloo’ Monroy and Max Styler. CXLOE has experience well beyond her years.
