TAKEN FROM ‘WHAT ETERNITY’ 7″ RELEASED VIA TOUGH LOVE
LONDON SHOW CONFIRMED FOR 27TH JANUARY 2015
Following the January release of their celebrated second album, The Age of Fracture, CYMBALS close the year out with a limited edition 7″ entitled ‘What Eternity’. It features two new songs: ‘Talk To Me’ and ‘Innocence’. Brooklyn Vegan have today premiered ‘Innocence’.

Singer Jack describes some of the ideas behind ‘Innocence’: “The song takes some inspiration from Etienne Daho’s song “Sortir ce soir”, and when playing it live I’ve started to just sing the chorus refrain from the Daho song over the outro instead of the English words. I hope it connects with some of the feelings associated with going out at night.”
The songs on ‘What Eternity’ come to the wider world at almost the same time they did to the band – both tracks were recorded in September of this year, very soon after CYMBALS returned from their first US tour. Emboldened by the reception they received from audiences in cities thousands of miles from home, a concerted effort was made to harness the energy and enthusiasm of those US shows and to create something that reflected the band right now.
The tracks were produced by Dreamtrak and mixed by Dan Rejmer. Both songs are available to buy digitally today and the 7″ will be available early in the new year.. Note to the collectors – 100 copies will be pressed on blue vinyl. Exactly one year to the day that The Age of Fracture was released, CYMBALS will be playing a headline show at the Waiting Room in London. The band will be playing new songs and also celebrating the release of ‘What Eternity’.
