DA & The Jones Announce Debut LP Sirens, Out March 4t

DA & The Jones is a collaboration between two successful singer/songwriters: Daniel Ahearn, whose tracks have been featured in hit TV shows like Mercy, Pretty Little Liars, and Army Wives as well as the hit film No Strings Attached, and Mindy Jones, who has worked closely with Moby, lending vocals to four tracks on his most recent release, Innocents (which was the most downloaded [legal] torrent of 2013) and performing alongside him on late-night television. They will release Sirens, their first full-length as DA & The Jones, on March 4th, and today they share the first track from the album. “Could’ve Had It All,” which features a smooth vocal melody sung by Ahearn and soft, breathy harmonies from Jones, is now available to download via PureVolume and can be heard below. You can also stream DA & The Jones’ new cover of Moby’s song “Almost Home” here.

Sirens, produced by Mocky (Peaches, Feist, Chilly Gonzales, Jamie Lidell), reflects the difficult times Ahearn and Jones have been through, while still expressing the true beauty in life, and more importantly, love. It opens with a haunting title track that encapsulates the duo’s signature sound with meandering melodies and shimmering, intertwining vocals. Ahearn and Jones share lead vocal duty throughout the album, with their voices seamlessly switching back and forth and giving the record a smooth and serene vibe.
