After the release of “The Writing of Fragments of Time” , the first song from “ Random Access Memories” (10th Anniversary Edition ) , the extended re-issue of the DAFT PUNK album , from today, Thursday 20 April, is available digitally “ GLBTM (Studio Outtakes) ”.

The digital release of the song is also accompanied by a video visualizer, visible at the link https://youtu.be/YiZfLvLU5Jc .

“ GLBTM (Studio Outtakes) ” is an early, pre-release version of what became “ Give Life Back To Music ”, before any production was added to the track. It’s a real look at the evolution of the song, and shows the importance of all its elements and how they fit together to create the final result.

Recording with the musicians was a key aspect that Daft Punk , the Parisian duo formed by Thomas Bangalter & Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo , had decided for this album . And that’s why listeners can feel the life, energy and joy conveyed by human beings playing instruments in the studio.

“ GLBTM (Studio Outtakes) ” gives the opportunity to closely observe the experiments that make up this creative process and what has been kept, and what has instead been set aside. These outtakes are like research logs: listeners can hear multiple inspirations and directions the song could have evolved in before Daft Punk decided what to focus on to finalize what eventually became “ Give Life Back To Music ”, 10 years does.

2023 marks the 10th anniversary of “ Random Access Memories ” , the band’s most famous and acclaimed album, thanks to the 5 GRAMMY Award victory and the super hits contained in it, “ Get Lucky ” ( over 1 BILLION streams, 5X Platinum in Italy ) and “ Instant Crush ” ( over 800 MILLION streams and certified GOLD in Italy ). The album marked a new creative approach by Daft Punk: was recorded over several years using analogue rather than digital instrumentation, and features collaborations for the first time with music legends such as Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Todd Edwards and Paul Williams .

For “ Random Access Memories” (10th Anniversary Edition ) , available in pre-order at the following link: https://daftpunk.lnk.to/RAM10_ , Daft Punk will show some of the most intimate creative processes that characterized the birth of the album, with 9 new demo tracks and outtakes, for a total of 35 minutes of previously unreleased music.

This new release will be available in the following formats: 180 gram triple LP, double CD digipack and digital. In addition, the original version of “ Random Access Memories ” will be available in Atmos for the first time.
