For fans of… Olly Alexander, Troye Sivan, SOPHIE
Emerging artist Marlowe (they/them) returns with the release of their infectious new single SWEATBOX out now. This release is taken from Marlowe’s highly anticipated debut mini-album SUBMISSIVE, out on 29th August 2025 via Plant Pot Records.
SWEATBOX is an instantly addictive dance-pop delight influenced by the likes of Troye Sivan and Olly Alexander. The single delves on Marlowe’s own personal experience of creating a stage persona in order to protect and suppress their true feelings. Marlowe elaborates, “I was prioritising others’ needs over my own in romantic and sexual situations and being left hollow as a result. This whole project is a song cycle that explores the unravelling of a people-pleaser. It’s a testament to the defiance of societal rules, pressures, and expectations — things I grapple with every day.”
This release represents more than just music; its a personal reckoning…
