Multi-instrumentalist and former member of Breton, Daniel Mcilvenny is set to release his first stand alone project under the name Daniel Alexander in the shape of a debut single on Acid Air Recordings in May and June 2016.

A double A-Side release featuring ‘the moments u had but were never at’, which contains a sample of the crowd at a Black Lives Matter rally, is released on the 20th of May and comes accompanied by an amazing video created by Daniel Alexander and Adam Ainger. The track is then followed by the second installment from the debut package, ‘Only Ever There’ which is out on the 3rd of June 2016.

Both tracks were self recorded and produced in Daniels’ South London flat over the last few months and ‘’the moments u had but were never at’ was mixed by, some time Rick Rubin collaborator, Leggy Langdon. Taking inspiration from Actress, Explosions in the Sky and Massive Attack and with a sound reminiscent of Chet Faker, he combines gentle surface noise and haunting vocals with lush melodies and temperate piano textures to great effect.

Daniel Alexander is set to play at some very special live events during the Summer, more details will be announced very soon.
