Dashboard Confessional – We Fight

Its been eight years since the release of ‘Alter the Ending’, the more positive news, Dashboard Confessional, have returned with a new single, ‘We Fight’. Which feels like a deft accompany to  today’s political and social divisions, as vocalist Chris Carrabba sates he recognizes that, in today’s volatile political climate, things he once wrote as personal accounts can now easily be translated into commentary on broader things in the world that affect others. “Every album is personal,”

So another emo instalment, sticking to what they’re good at, the new single bears witness, that finds an easy home in most listeners. Dashboard Confessions reconvene in renewed form, ‘We Fight’ a solid instalment on the new album. 7.7/10
