Davell Crawford To Play Joe’s Pub In New York City Tomorrow Night (7/20)

A born and bred New Orleans jazz artist, Davell Crawford has always been filled with pizzaz as he has been gracing stages since age seven. “It is impossible to hear more than the first two minutes of Crawford without smiling and breaking into some serious foot tapping, there’s just no other way to describe it, unless, of course, you’re dead,” says Chuck Graham of the Tucson Citizen.
But lucky for all of us those are alive and kicking, Davell will be leaving the Big Easy for a night and performing at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan tomorrow night at 9:30 PM. For his new album My Gift To You (Released June 11th) Davell partnered up with Basin Street Records to produce an album which features a slew of big names including Big Freedia, Donald Harrison, Jr., Bobbi Humphrey, Dr. John, Nicholas Payton, Steve Riley, Walter ‘Wolfman’ Washington, and the Davell Crawford Singers. It’s been thirteen years since the “Piano Prince of New Orleans” has graced the world with an album and he wants to make it clear where his musical allegiance lies with this heartfelt tribute to his birthplace and home, Louisiana.
