(November 16, 2011 – Toronto, ON) Recently, Dine Alone Records announced the addition of HACIENDA to their roster in Canada. The acclaimed San Antonio-based quartet released a new track titled “Savage”, November 18 on iTunes.
As of today, a free download of “ Savage,” the new song from acclaimed San Antonio-based quartet Hacienda, is currently featured on Rolling Stone’s website. The “….upbeat, groove-filled…” track previews the band’s forthcoming Dan Auerbach-produced LP, which will be released spring 2012 on Dine Alone (Canada) and Collective Sounds (US). “The guys at Dine Alone have been very supportive of the band so it couldn’t be a better fit for us. This is a record that we all take a lot of pride in,” says vocalist and guitarist Dante Schwebel. “I think that those that are familiar with us will be into it. Also, the people that are hearing Hacienda for the first time, are getting on board while we are at our best."
In advance of the full-length, an album teaser featuring the band recording in Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound studio is available to view here. Of working with the band, Auerbach comments, “I’ve been a fan of Hacienda ever since the day they gave me their first demo. They have consistently impressed with their natural chemistry as a band.”
Hacienda was formed by cousins Abraham Villanueva (piano/vocals) and Dante Schwebel (guitar/vocals) together with Abraham’s brothers Jaime (drums/vocals) and Rene Villanueva (bass/vocals). To date, the south Texas quartet has released two albums to widespread acclaim.
