Experimental hip hop luminary DJ Shadow aka Josh Davis recently announced an extensive ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ tour in support of his 2016 Mass Appeal Records release that finds the groundbreaking producer and DJ exploring new realms of composition and sound. Today he adds two further UK dates, performing in Birmingham on September 30th and Leeds on October 1st.

The San Francisco-based producer kicked things off at Sonar Festival’s Hong Kong edition this weekend and has just been announced to play Glastonbury festival this June. Ahead of that he’ll be performing both weekends at Coachella, with three California shows in the week in between, and he’ll then head to Sonar in Barcelona, Outlook, Bestival and more. The UK tour will commence in Glasgow on 3rd October, also heading to Manchester and Bristol before culminating at London’s Roundhouse on 7th October. Tickets are on sale now at, with Birmingham and Leeds on sale from this Friday.

In addition to the tour, DJ Shadow will have a very active spring, having also announced a new monthly radio show that he will host on US radio station KCRW, called Find, Share, Rewind. It’s a two hour show that will take place at 10pm on the first Saturday of each month, launching April 8th

“The show is called ‘Find, Share, Rewind’ because that’s essentially the relationship I’ve had with music my entire life as a DJ.  Always looking for something new, something that would reach and inspire me…and then playing it to as many people as possible.  There is nothing quite so satisfying as sharing music you’re passionate about, and that passion spreading exponentially to the point where someone’s life is changed as a result.” DJ Shadow

He has also curated a Spotify playlist called ‘Beyond The Obvious: The Sampled World of DJ Shadow.’ It features tracks that DJ Shadow has sampled throughout his career – from Tangerine Dream and Flying Island to Metallica, followed by the DJ Shadow song containing each respective sample:

A new song from DJ Shadow called ‘Scars,’ in collaboration with Nils Frahm, will be featured on the soundtrack to the film ‘Ghost in the Shell’, in cinemas now.
