Alice Mary – Falling In Love

“pretty damn amazing” Don’t Need No Melody

almost collapses in bliss before the disruptive electronics shift the mood into fresh territories” Clash Magazine

“Cozy sunny sadness” Pop Muzik

Alice Mary is classically trained, techno-loving Jimi Hendrix fan who has somehow become a pop musician. Taking inspiration from her varied interests she has created an intriguing debut EP in I Am Here.

The first single from the EP, Loving Game, is out today, click here to listen: https://soundcloud.com/alicemarymusic/failing-in-love

A dark electronic pop song Failing In Love is the second single to be released from the EP. In the song Alice Mary’s minimal, atmospheric production, with a desolate simplicity and angular sense of harmony, let’s her voice take centre stage.

With stark clarity she tells the story of a person picking through the wreckage of a past relationship and trying to figure out how to move forward with what’s left.

Entirely self produced, the track showcases her direct lyrical style and impressive guitar playing, and hints at influences like Prince and Bat For Lashes.

The first single from the EP, Loving Game, was recently described by Popmuzik as “Cozy sunny sadness” and has also been featured on Parapop, The Autumn Roses and Musicmusingsandsuch; as well as receiving airplay on Josh Hannen’s show on Amazing Radio.

Alice Mary will be performing with her live band on 3rd July at The Finsbury to promote the release of her first EP I Am Here, out on 7th July.
