Electronic music is 2026’s fastest-growing genre in the US, report finds
Data from Luminate’s 2026 midyear report published earlier this month shows dance music outpaced every other genre in growth, despite R&B and hip-hop continuing to dominate overall US streaming figures, accounting for one-in-four online plays. John Summit and Disco Lines were among the biggest artist names behind the rise, while a resurgence in streams for electronic releases from 2015–2017 reflects a wider industry trend towards nostalgia and catalogue discovery.
