“Directed by Patrick Taylor, it’s so well executed that if we didn’t know better, we’d be sure that the whole thing was an overlooked 90s classic” – Notion feature

Eliza Shaddad today shares the visuals new single ‘Just Goes To Show‘. Directed by Patrick Taylor, she suggests the “song has always felt like the kind of thing that would be playing in one of those terrible but incredible 90’s movie’s prom scenes and so I was dying to make a video that played on that.” Shot in one of Eliza’s favourite venues in London, decorated to fit, she managed to find some willing friends as extras; “(My little (big) bro is in it, and my cousins, in fact it’s a repeat performance from one:) The costume and hair and make up teams worked total miracles on all of us and then we channeled our inner teenagers and the result is something completely and bananasly different for me.”Following recent singles ‘White Lines’, ‘My Body’ and ‘This Is My Cue’, ‘Just Goes To Show‘ is the anthemic new cut from Eliza Shaddad’s eagerly-anticipated debut album Future. Like singing the words of her own secret diary aloud, Eliza’s personal truth is laid bare through her smouldering vocals alongside foggy swathes of vintage 90s guitar.
Eliza Shaddad is supported by PRS Foundation and Help Musicians.
Future is due on 26th October through Beatnik Creative.
