NYC ALBUM RELEASE SHOW AT LE POISSON ROUGE ON WED, OCT 18
New York, NY (August 28, 2017) – Elizabeth and the Catapult will release Keepsake on October 20 via Compass Records and now presents the album’s first video, “Underwater“, which debuted today at PopMatters and is available on all digital platforms.
“I’ve written so many songs about learning to fall more gracefully, but not a lot of songs about actually daring myself to fall,” says Elizabeth. The empowering video takes us through a day in the life of her songwriting process and inspiring moments that lead her to create music. Director Meredith Adelaide (@meredithadelaide) chose to shoot entirely in Elizabeth’s own “spaces” providing a window into the song’s development and message.

For Elizabeth Ziman, who performs as Elizabeth and the Catapult, Keepsake is her most personal and cohesive record yet, comprised of both upbeat and sentimental songs, many of which came to her in dreams. The album was produced by Dan Molad and Peter Lalish from Lucius, Rob Moose (Bon Iver, Antony and the Johnsons, Joan as Policewoman) and Richard Swift.
Elizabeth and the Catapult’s album release performance in NYC is at Le Poisson Rouge on Wednesday, October 18th at 8:30pm. Tickets can be purchased HERE for $12 in advance and $15 day of show. Expect more dates to be announced soon.
