Eloise releases debut EP – This Thing Called Living (Harbour Music)

Eloise – one of the UK’s most enchanting new voices – today releases her debut EP ‘This Thing Called Living’. The EP is released on Harbour Music.

Arriving late in 2018 Eloise captured the hearts of many with her debut offering ‘You Dear’, and it’s equally brilliant and heart-breaking recent follow up ‘Left Side’. Her unique talent for beautifully delicate storytelling proved a very welcome breath of fresh air in the current musical landscape, and translated effortlessly from record to live performance. Last night she played to a pin-drop crowd at London’s The Slaughtered Lamb, after making her US live debut last week at It’s A School Night in LA.

Debut offering ‘You, Dear’ dealt with the initial feeling of falling in love (all be it with the wrong person), and then title track ‘This Thing Called Loving’ delivered the crushing agony of that relationship coming to an end. Recently shared ‘Left Side’ told the story of what happens next – dealing with the space in your life a person once filled and how you move on. The release of the EP comes with the final piece of the puzzle,  a brand-new track ‘Subside’ which see’s us invited once again into the inner-workings of her heart.

For those yet unaware – Eloise is a Londoner, but she spent her formative years in rural Normandy before moving over to North London at 10. It was in their eccentric family farmhouse – just outside Caen – that Eloise’s music first began to come together as she started to teach herself piano, and later write songs inspired by her musical mother who played her endless classics from Carole King, Billy Joel and a whole lot of jazz. All the while she was devouring films like Calamity Jane, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Singing In The Rain.

Eloise has also announced her next London headline show which will be at Hoxton Hall on October 2nd.
