Embrace The Tide – Distances (album review)

Embrace The Tide – Distances (album review)

Distances is the self release debut from five piece British metallers Embrace The Tide. Hailing from Milton Keynes Embrace The Tide are set to take on the United Kingdom with this release and then hopefully the world.

Distances consists of eleven tracks that mix the heaviness of bands such as Parkway Drive and The Devil Wears Prada with the lyrical melody of bands such as We Are The Ocean and Exit Ten. With the ability to mix sing along hooks with smash mouth break downs and a brutal scream the lads in Embrace The Tide are onto a winner.

Stand out tracks include “A Case Of Wait And See” and “Reflections”. The formula of singing along side screaming is a well known formula these days but it is very rare for a band to pull it off so well. Embrace The Tide are one of the few who pull it off well.

Distances is self released by the guys on July 30th and also has two music videos to accompany the release. If you have a full functioning brain I suggest that you purchase it. 8.25/10
