Emerging singer/songwriter Jasper Hodges.
Hailing from Whitstable Kent, 19-year-old Jasper has just delivered his sensitive new single ‘Bound To Leave’, the first track part of trilogy ‘The Basement Sessions’; recorded at Vincent Van Gogh’s house in his native Ramsgate.
‘The Basement Sessions’ is Jasper’s debut project, culminating in 3 irrevocably sentimental acoustic tracks. The remaining two tracks will confidentially be releasing later this year, the next single ‘Picture On My Phone’ arriving 25th September, followed by the final track of the landing in October.
A reflective and sultry Summer anthem, penultimate ‘Picture On My Phone’ leads with themes of nostalgic love. As we reach the final track ‘Everything Is Meant To Be’ [please do not share] , Jasper dives into delicate discussions around mental health, re-telling the incredible anecdote about saving a man who jumped onto the railway tracks.
Jasper first turned heads by challenging himself to write and share an original song every single day until reaching 25,000 Instagram followers, which quickly built a devoted fanbase. Since then, Jasper has shown the many bows to his arrow, including modelling for iconic fashion house DIOR, both editorially and on the runway.
Before releasing a single track, he was already performing on major stages, including a standout support slot for Zach Bryan at Hyde Park, followed by festival debuts at Belladrum and Boardmasters. With headline live dates ahead, including Neighbourhood Manchester, Jasper’s star is firmly on the rise.
