Latasha Harlins was a 15 year-old girl, shot in the head and killed by a female store owner who served no prison for her crime. Some have cited this one of the causes of the 1992 LA riots.
Articulate, and with a growing musical reputation, Emily consistently wins new followers. In August she plays the Main Stage at Beautiful Days Festival (Manic Street Preachers, British Sea Power, Jazzie B, Feeder etc).
