End Of The Road Festival throws open its doors for the 15th time, welcoming over 9000 festival revellers to the opening night of the best party of the summer. Early birds arriving on Thursday were treated to some exceptional performances as live music has well and truly returned to the beautiful and unique Larmer Tree Gardens site in Dorset.Headlining the Woods Stage was Stereolab who performed a life affirming, career-spanning set of louche grooves and pop melodies. Earlier on, Blood Wizard opened the festival before Kiagaku Moyo brought their psychedelic brand of rock to an exultant crowd happy to be back watching live music again. Elsewhere at the Tipi stage, Regressive Left showed why they’re on everyone’s ones-to-watch list before West London’s NiNE8 Collective galvanised the crowd with their brand of high-octane hip-hop.

Beyond the live music offering, there was a party atmosphere at the legendary Cider Bus which spilled out to the silent disco in the Tipi as Loud and Quiet DJs went b2b with songs released in 2001 (the first year of End Of The Road) against a set made up entirely of artists who have previously played the festival. There was also an array of food for festival goers to choose from, with fine cuisine from around the world available to sustain the party.End Of The Road has returned bigger and stronger in 2021 with more culture, music, twists, turns and surprises than ever before.
