Ethel Cain Covers American Football
Listen: Ethel Cain – “For Sure”
Plus a new remastered version of the original track
The latest single from American Football’s Covers is an almost 10-minute-long ethereal and brooding rendition of “For Sure” by Ethel Cain. The track is accompanied by a music video shot and directed by Hayden Anhedönia herself.
Alongside the cover, you can listen to “For Sure (Remastered)” freshly remastered from the original tapes by mastering engineer Johnathan Pines. With more depth and shine than you’ve ever heard on it before, the track reasserts itself as a staple on all of our fall playlists.
You can pre-order the vinyl for both records, out October 18th. The Early Bird edition of Covers is *sold out* but you can still snag the album on Frosted Glass vinyl, CD, and tape.
The 25th Anniversary Edition is pressed on a silver 2xLP with an Embossed Gatefold Jacket on Metallic Silver stock and includes expanded packaging with brand new liner notes & handwritten lyrics by Mike Kinsella.
