Dance music icon Example releases new single ‘DEEP’ and announces his 8th studio album – ‘We May Grow Old But We Never Grow Up’ released via BMG June 17th with the pre-order available right now.
Earlier in the year, Example made his way back to the UK to commence his 14 date headline tour which sold over 25,000 tickets. During the tour he connected with up and coming drum and bass artist/producer Bou, fresh off the back of his breakout single ‘Streetside’. In the months since, it is apparent Bou is fast on his way to becoming known as one of the UK’s most exciting underground producers. Making an instant connection, the two began sharing ideas for a possible collaboration:
“Bou came to my sold out Academy show, his management team are close friends of mine. When we met backstage after the show, he expressed how inspired he was and we made an immediate connection. Then he went home and made the beat to what became DEEP.” – Example
NONÔ, self described as being “made in Brazil and shipped to London” was one of the supporting acts on the recent UK tour and was asked to jump on as the feature artist. Her flawless vocal and effervescent energy has seen her work alongside artists such as Alok, Eden Prince & Parx in between her budding solo career.
“NONÔ is like my little sis, we share some incredible artistic moments and with her melody I wrote the words and the whole thing just fell into place. It was the best feeling, just perfect as a vibe and as an artistic mix.”

“My family really keeps my passion burning, I’m also still quite competitive, I feel like now though I’m enjoying competing with myself. I have to stay fit and healthy between festival runs and ensure I have the correct recovery time and treatment after each show. It’s amazing to have a huge fan base after so long so that keeps me going too”

‘We May Grow Old, But We Will Never Grow Up’ is set to release on the 17th of June. The project has unique foundations with the bulk of it written in Australia with songwriter Brook Toia AKA Penny Ivy and highly sought after producer James Angus (Last Dinosaurs, The Veronicas). The record pays homage to Examples beginnings, while showcasing a multitude of different genres giving the vibe of a musician in complete control of their craft. To capture those feelings, photography genius Giulia McGauran who has worked with Australian royalty Client Liaison, Tash Sultana & Peking Duk was brought in for the project. The visual aspect of the record creates a defining moment and professionally brings the energy of the music to life. When speaking about the Album that has been put together Example shares:
