Fresh off the back of releasing his full debut album; The Oakland blues musician Fantastic Negrito is coming back to the UK and Ireland this September including a show at London Bush Hall.
If there was an artist to define modern blues, then Fantastic Negrito would be that artist. His songs are edgy, political and very current, touching on sensitive topics of drug abuse and institutional racism in America. His growly vocals and sliding guitars honor the legacy of early Oakland blues musicians, with a contemporary twist. His debut full-length album ‘The Last Days of Oakland’ chronicles the changes in his hometown of Oakland, CA and other major urban cities around the world, from Brooklyn to Brixton.
